West Ham United defender James Tomkins produced an impressive performance in an uncustomary position as his club won 3-0 over Stoke City on Saturday.
The 21-year old played at right-back as Hammers cruised at Upton Park and he said it was nice to play in a slightly different position to normal.
"It's a bit unnatural for me but I thought I did ok," said the usual centre-back.
Apart from his own game, Tomkins said the performance of the Hammers was a very significant one which is likely to give the players plenty of confidence to push further away from the relegation zone.
"The team's full of confidence at the moment and there's a good spirit," he added.
"We have a feeling we can get out of the situation we're in."
