Tottenham winger Tom Carroll had mixed emotions over his appearance in defeat to Fulham.

The youngster was a second-half substitute.

"On a personal level, I was quite pleased with how it went but the three points would have been massive for us and we couldn't get the win, so that was disappointing for everyone," Carroll told the Spurs website.

"We all wanted to bounce back after the results at Liverpool and at the San Siro but unfortunately it wasn't to be."
