Blackburn Rovers are weighing up a move for Argentine defender Diego Novaretti.
The Lancashire Telegraph says Rovers are understood to have been offered Novaretti, a 26-year-old centre back who currently plays at Mexican club Toluca.
Rovers could take up the option as they seek a replacement for new Manchester United signing Phil Jones.
Christopher Samba's future at Rovers is also in doubt.
