Francesco Toldo was delighted for a rare Inter Milan chance as he kept a clean sheet in their victory over Reggina last night.
"We knew it was not going to be an easy away game," said Toldo. "It was a real struggle to get the victory. In the first half it was even, but after the break we managed to maintain the result on a terrible pitch."
The veteran was standing in for Julio Cesar and has accepted his role as understudy to the Brazilian.
"When you have a long and successful career behind you, it is difficult to accept the role of reserve, but the team comes first. We are a great squad."
