Leon Osman has his eyes set on earning a new contract at Everton.
While Osman may not be one to crave all the limelight, there is no denying the fact that the midfielder has been a wonderful servant for Everton over the last decade.
With age catching up with Osman, allied by the fact that his contract at the club is set to expire at the end of the upcoming campaign, it is believed that the 34-year-old could well end his lifelong association with the Toffees next year.
However the veteran is not ready to leave Goodison Park anytime soon and has now expressed his desire to further extend his stay by earning a new contract.
Osman told the Liverpool Echo: "Absolutely. I've got this season (left on my contract) but if I can get out there and keep up the levels I have shown over the last few years then my intent it to try and keep on playing.
"We'll take things as they come, this part of the season is about starting the season well and using these matches to get as much out of them as we can so that when the first game comes, we are ready to go."
