Brazil boss Tite says Roberto Firmino's Liverpool form has earned him a place for tonight's crunch World Cup qualifier against Uruguay.
The former Hoffenheim attacker will replace the injured Manchester City frontman Gabriel Jesus for the showdown in Montevideo.
“Firmino has come in well, including scoring goals, and he has justified his selection," Tite said.
His clubmate Philippe Coutinho is also expected to start - despite his patchy form for the Reds.
Brazil are currently top of the South American qualifying table – four points clear of second placed Uruguay.
