Cheick Tiote has urged Newcastle United not to turn on eachother after their defeat at Sunderland.
Tiote could hold his head high after the derby loss.
The midfielder said after the game: "As a captain, you need to show an example, so I tried to do that in the right way.
"That's important.
"I'm really disappointed, because we didn't win. That's football. We have to stay as a team, stay compact and try to win the next game."
