QPR winger Shaun Wright-Phillips says it is about time the team stood up for themselves in order to turn their season around.
The R's have dropped to 17th on the league table following a trio of defeats on the trot and with Wright-Phillips acknowledging that the recent run of bad form is their own fault, he has called for more strength to be shown beginning with Saturday's home clash with Everton.
"We're working really hard in the week, but we've had a bit of bad luck with three red cards in the last four home league games.
"Sometimes people don't realise just how hard it is to play with ten men in the Premier League. It's the elite league in world football and as the Manager says, you just can't afford to be playing for 50 or 60 minutes with ten men.
"We need to show that same attitude with 11 men against Everton on Saturday, and then at Bolton the following weekend.
"We all know - the players and the coaching staff - that we're starting games slowly, but it's something we're trying to put right.
"We need everyone to stick behind us, like they've done all season, because we're all in this together.""We need to stand up and show a never-say-die attitude," he told the club's official website.
