Time for Man City to cash in on Toure - Ex-Arsenal star Nicholas

Charlie Nicholas believes the time is right for Manchester City to offload Yaya Toure.

The Ivorian midfielder is being heavily linked with a summer move to Inter Milan, while French champions Paris Saint-Germain are also interested, and former Arsenal star Nicholas feels City should now cash in.

"The time is right for them to cash in as he's 31 now and they can still get a bit of money for him," he said on Sky Sports.

"They need a fresh and adaptable midfielder as David Silva's role in the team has made Toure play a bit deeper than what suits his game."

He added: "City have got the chance to give Fernando and Fernandinho a go now and see how they play together but they must have already identified other players, although Toure won't be easy to replace."
