Tigres defender Bornstein hoping Atlante move enhances USA chances

Jonathan Bornstein is hoping to use his loan move to Atlante as a stepping stone for a possible USA recall.

The 29-year old left-back has joined Los Potros from Liga MX rivals Tigres and is determined to get back to the form that has won him close to 40 international caps throughout his career.

"I want to play, that is why I asked Tigres to come here," Bornstein told Atlante's official website. "I'm really very excited and anxious to start the season.

"I've got to get back the form I showed in MLS and with my national team in the 2010 World Cup.

"I hope Atlante can be a platform to be able to once again be considered for the national team."
