Tigres defender Bornstein eyes up Chivas USA return

Jonathan Bornstein has opened the door to a possible MLS return with Chivas USA.

The 28-year old defender has struggled for game time since his 2011 move from the Goats to Mexican club Tigres UANL but after Chivas acquired his rights via a trade with Portland Timbers, he could be set for a possible Home Depot Center homecoming.

"It's great to have my rights back at Chivas, my hometown," Bornstein told MLSsoccer.com after Tigres lost 3-1 to Seattle Sounders in the CONCACAF Champions League quarter-finals.

"If I go back, it would be great to play in front of my family and friends again.

"Obviously I like to keep my doors open. I'd like to go back eventually to MLS and play. Most Americans want to do that, play in their home league. It would be an option if it came up."
