Chris Tierney has re-signed with MLS club New England Revolution.

The 25-year old midfielder finished his third season with the Revs at the end of the 2010 campaign but has now shored up his foreseeable future with the club.

Tierney, who made 27 appearances last term, has improved every season at Gillette Stadium and the Revs are looking forward to seeing him develop even further.

"Chris is a very versatile player and gives us a lot of options on the field," Revolution Vice President of Player Personnel Michael Burns said.

"He is also a great leader for us on the field and in the locker room so we're pleased he is committing to the club."
