Tickets for second Melbourne derby still available

Melbourne Heart FC advises seats are still available for the second instalment of the Melbourne Derby against cross town rivals Victory at AAMI Park this Saturday night.

After the dramatic first encounter between the two sides, anticipation is quickly building to a crescendo ahead of the biggest game of the Hyundai A-League season to date.

Played in front of a sell out crowd, the inaugural Melbourne Derby saw newcomer Heart emerge triumphant and etch itself into the history books via a 2-1 win, following goals from Socceroo legend John Aloisi and Brazilian hero Alex Terra.

And as the Hyundai A-League season approaches its final stanza, the Derby rematch will take on added significance with both Heart and Victory fighting for a place in the top six.

With the inaugural Derby game setting the record for highest ever attendance at a football match between Melbourne sides, Chief Executive Officer Scott Munn said he is hopeful another bumper crowd will pack AAMI Park.

"Following the success of the first ever Melbourne Derby, the rematch promises to be a great spectacle and a phenomenal advertisement for Australian football and the Hyundai A-League," he said.

"With the countdown to the match reaching its final stages, we urge all football supporters to secure their seat and witness as Melbourne's two football tribes converge on AAMI Park. It is certain to be a highlight of the season."

As parking is limited, public transport will be the quickest and easiest way to travel to AAMI Park, with bus, tram and train stops within close distance.
