Three month's out for City's Johnson

Manchester City winger Adam Johnson suffered an ankle injury during training on Thursday and has been ruled out for twelve weeks. City boss Roberto Mancini confirmed the bad news after the 1-1 FA Cup fourth round result away to Notts County.

Johnson has suffered ligament damage and scans have confirmed the Italian's worst fears.

"We have lost Adam Johnson for three months," said Mancini.

"This will be a very big problem because he is an important player.

"The injury is like the one Aleksandar Kolarov had earlier this season. We do not have another player like Adam."
