Manchester United ace Robin van Persie has a three-match ban hanging over him.
Van Persie is facing an FA charge after appearing to elbow Newcastle United's Yohan Cabaye in his side's 3-0 win on Tyneside.
Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew said: "He's looked at Yohan and he's elbowed him. I think that needs to be looked at, if I'm honest."
Holland forward Van Persie must now wait for referee Howard Webb's report.
He faces a three-match ban if found guilty of violent conduct. Cabaye was adamant the striker hit him in the mouth as he remonstrated with Webb, who missed the off-the-ball collision.
The referee appeared to indicate that he would act if footage showed there was malicious contact. Newcastle coach John Carver and fourth official Kevin Friend had a similar conversation in the technical area.
