Former Stoke City manager Gudjon Thordarson has rapped his old club over their treatment of Eidur Gudjohnsen.
The former Chelsea and Bolton Wanderers striker wants to leave the Brit after failing to make a first team impression this season.
Speaking on Icelandic television channel TV Sport 2, Thordarson said: "If Stoke's fitness coaches haven't managed to get Eidur fit in four months then they need to rethink their work ethic.
"I don't buy it that he isn't fit. There is something else going on there."
