Phil Thompson has praised Diego Costa following his fine start to the Premier League campaign.
Costa endured a below par season last term but under new manager Antonio Conte, the Spanish international has managed to find his best form once again and has already scored four goals in as many Premier League matches.
Former Liverpool star Thompson has been left very impressed with what he has seen of Costa this season and he has now gone on to state that the fiery striker is Chelsea's version of ex-Liverpool and now Barcelona attacker Luis Suarez.
"Diego Costa seems to have got his mojo back," he told Sky Sports News HQ.
"You would love him at your football club. It's like Luis Suarez, everyone hated him but we loved him at Liverpool. I think he is fantastic.
"Yes, he goes over that line quite often but he does bring something special to that side."
Costa is set to take on Thompson's former club Liverpool at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Friday night.
