West Brom midfielder Jerome Thomas is excited with the transfer work already done by the Premiership newcomers.
Steven Reid, Pablo Ibanez and Gabriel Tamas have all been signed by the Baggies so far this summer.
"The signing of Spanish international Pablo and permanent signing of Reid gives us the experience we need," Thomas told the Birmingham Mail.
"A couple more additions to the squad and we'll be fine. I think we'll surprise a lot of teams. Pablo has 23 caps for Spain and that experience has got to help.
''But he has to adapt to English football. We can't expect him to come in, be the star player and keep clean sheets on his own. He's going to need time."
Tamas and Reid made major contributions while on loan and Thomas added: "They are both happy here.
"There are no big egos in the camp. It was a team effort to get promotion and we're all happy those deals have been sorted. Gabby had a great season and Reidy showed his experience from playing lots of games in the Premier League. That is going to count."
