Thomas ready for Premier League action with West Brom

West Bromwich Albion's Jerome Thomas says he is ready to take the pitch in the Premier League following a hip injury.

The 28-year old winger played the first half of last night's Carling Cup win over Bournemouth, scoring the first goal after just seven minutes in the 4-1 rout, and he now feels he is fit enough to take on Stoke City at The Hawthorns on Sunday.

"I feel ready, especially with an extra day's training this week with the game being on Sunday," Thomas told the Express and Star.

"I'm ready to get back involved with the squad and hopefully help us start to put some points on the table in the Premier League.

"Hopefully setting up and scoring more goals is something I can take into the first team and into the Premier League, because that's what wins games and gets points on the board.

"I was just happy to be back out there last night. It's always frustrating being injured, but I have been supporting the lads as much as I can and it was good to get back out there."
