Hendry Thomas is desperate to make up for lost time at Wigan Athletic this season.

The Honduras international midfielder has been forced to wait 12 months to complete a move to Wigan due to work permit problems.

Thomas said: "This last year has been very disappointing for me and left me frustrated.

"But I have worked hard to qualify for the work permit rules and now I want to prove myself in the Premier League.

"I know not many people will know me in England, but I'm determined to show Wigan they have not made a mistake.''
