Hull City secured their second win in two days with a comfortable 3-0 victory over non-league side Winterton Rangers on Sunday.
Following a string of fine saves from Rangers keeper Jamie Allan, Hull finally made the breakthrough on 43 minutes as youngster Tom Cairney smashed home from close range.
It was not until after the hour mark when the away side doubled their lead as veteran midfielder George Boateng drilled a low shot into the bottom corner from the edge of the area on 63 minutes.
Trialist Jerome Thomas continued his good form following his half time introduction and it was from his shot that Hull grabbed their third as Dean Marney netted a rebound.
