Inter Milan president Erick Thohir met with coach Walter Mazzarri and his players yesterday ahead of the derby.
Inter will host AC Milan today.
Thohir said: "I think it's good to wish 'Merry Christmas' and 'Happy New Year', and not only to the players and Coach Mazzarri - we also went to the Inter offices to meet all the staff.
"There are 75 people working there and I've now managed to meet all 75 of them. I think it was a good meeting with the staff and also with the players.
"Did we discuss transfers? Yes, we did but you can ask Branca and Ausilio about that - there's a division of roles."
