Inter Milan midfielder Thiago Motta has offered incoming coach Rafa Benitez a mixed welcome.

Former Liverpool boss Benitez is expected to sign with Inter today.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Motta said: "At Inter, Rafa will find a great team waiting to receive him, one that's ready to repeat after last year's treble."

However, the former Barcelona player did express a degree of uncertainty as to whether Benitez is right for Inter.

"I don't know if at the moment we can say that he is the best for Inter.

"He certainly is a very good Coach who has proven himself on many occasions at Valencia and Liverpool fighting for big objectives."
