Mason Greenwood hit a hat-trick as Manchester United shocked holders Chelsea to win tonight's FA Youth Cup third round tie 4-3.

United faced a stern test against the current holders, who matched the Busby Babes' record of winning five consecutive titles last season.

United beat Chelsea in the U18 Premier League Cup earlier this month and enjoyed another superb victory at Leigh Sports Village where they ran out 4-3 winners.

Greenwood and James Garner, who were both called up to Jose Mourinho's first team for last week's Champions League trip to Valencia, were part of an exciting United line-up and Greenwood grabbed the headlines, scoring a deserved hat-trick.

Greenwood, 17, has now netted 22 times in all competitions this season after signing his first professional deal at Old Trafford at the beginning of October.
