There is no chance I will forget England debut - Leicester striker Vardy

Jubilant England debutant Jamie Vardy has said that there is no chance he will forget his international debut.

Vardy was brought on in place of skipper Wayne Rooney in the 75th minute in the goalless draw against the Republic of Ireland on Sunday, marking his Three Lions debut in a 0-0 draw.

He said: "There's no chance of anyone forgetting their England debut.

"A couple of the lads afterwards were talking about their [international] debuts in the shower. Milly [James Milner] was telling me about his debut against the Netherlands and Jack Wilshere mentioned his against Hungary.

"They had their debuts 10 years ago and still remember it as if it were yesterday. My fiancee came over for the game and one of our friends came with her to keep her company. I've kept my shirt and the boys have signed it for me, which is obviously an added bonus."
