Theoklitos no-show angers Norwich boss Lambert

Norwich boss Paul Lambert has hammered keeper Michael Theoklitos after he failed to travel for the Canaries' JPT clash at Gillingham. The Australian stopper inexplicably failed to turn up for the second round trip to Kent and left his side in the lurch, with Lambert only able to name four substitutes in the eventual 1-0 win.

He said: "I thought our young players did terrific but it was disappointing about the situation with Michael - he's let everyone down.

"We only had four players on the bench because of that and no substitute goalkeeper so it was the last thing we needed.

"Michael will be disciplined by the club. I'll speak to him before you know any more details. It is only right Michael will know what's happened.

"He should have been at the game, but he wasn't. Nobody is bigger than the club.

"He let everybody down - that's all I will say. He let himself down and he let the group of players down and let the club down."
