Theo Hernandez 'very happy' after Real Madrid debut for Man Utd draw

Theo Hernandez enjoyed an eventful Real Madrid debut against Manchester United today.

The former Atletico Madrid fullback was a second-half substitute and helped Real earn a 1-1 draw in California before being beaten on penalties in their International Champions Cup tie.

Theo managed to win the penalty midway through the second-half, with Casemiro converting.

The defender had replaced Marcelo at the halftime break with Real a goal down.

He said, "I am very happy and happy to play my first match with Real Madrid and to win that penalty that has meant the draw.

"I have felt very comfortable, now I have to play more games and continue to learn and grow as a player, this week we have worked very well, we have done our work in the game and we have competed well."
