Former Atletico Madrid fullback Theo Hernandez is delighted with his move to Real Madrid.

Together with his family and Real president Florentino Perez, Theo was unveiled to the local media.

"Thank you so much to the fans and players for this reception," he said.

"I am very happy to be at the best club in the world and I have come here to learn from the best players and to win titles.

"Hala Madrid!"

When asked whether or not he had always dreamt of representing Real Madrid, his answer was simple, in that it was always his aim to reach the top.

"Everybody dreams of reaching the top," he added.

"I have played with Atleti and now I have chosen to be here because it is the best club in the world.

"There was no pressure or complications and I am here because this is where I want to be."

With his brother, Lucas, remaining with Atletico Madrid, the two will face off in the Madrid Derby this season, but Theo is determined not to cause a feud within his family.

"I imagine it will be normal," he said.

"I will not make a war with my brother."
