Liverpool players were upset with former teammate Loris Karius before his departure for Besiktas.

Reds players stood by Karius after his calamitous performance in the Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.

But when he published a professionally produced video on social media which showed him enjoying himself in California, it sent the wrong message felt some of his team-mates, says the Daily Mail.

Fellow players and staff felt it was disrespectful as it suggested that the 25-year-old didn't care about the crucial errors he made in the box.

The video on his Instagram didn't sit well with fans either and after suffering a barrage of abuse, Karius removed it.

And there was no going back from it in the dressing room.

When Alisson arrived, it then not only sent Karius further down the pecking order but it saw him shunned further within the club.
