Manchester City's £210 million takeover by Sheikh Mansour bin Zahed Al Nahyan will go through in the next seven days.

The Manchester Evening News says once due diligence is completed current owner Thaksin Shinawatra will be left with 10 percent of the club, a small profit and an honorary position on the board.

The size of the cash return for Shinawatra will depend on the intricacies of the Blues' spending under both Sven-Goran Eriksson and Mark Hughes.

Shinawatra and the current board sanctioned the purchase of around £115m worth of buys - including the British record purchase of Robinho and the return of Shaun Wright-Phillips - some of whom came with 'undisclosed' price tags, but nearly all of whom are yet to be paid for in full.

Although around £25m has been recouped by outgoing transfers Sheikh Mansour has factored future transfer liabilities into his bid for 90 percent of the club and Shinawatra should make in the region of £10m-£15m.
