Thaksin Shinawatra is set to offer £120 million for Manchester City this week.
Pongsak Raktapongpaisal, Thirachai Wutthichai, Phairoj Piampongsarn, and Wikrom Khumphairoj have all been asked to become board members.
Their first task will be to appoint a new manager. Former Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier, Dutchman Co Adriaanse and Seville's Juande Ramos are in the frame, although there is a feeling at Eastlands that the Spaniard is using City's interest to win a huge pay rise at his current club.
The new boss will be given a £50m transfer kitty in the hope that the recruitment of several big names will kick-start season tickets sales, which remain almost 50 per cent down on the 28,000 sold last season.
