Thailand approach Robson for vacant manager's post

Thailand's Football Association have moved to replace manager Peter Reid with his former England team-mate Bryan Robson. Robson's most recent managerial post was at Sheffield United, who he left in February 2008.

Since then the former Manchester United captain has been working for his old club after boss Sir Alex Ferguson offered him an ambassadorial role.

"We're still in negotiation, but he is interested and we are interested," Thai FA president Worawi Makudi said.

"It's still at the first stage, but we are keen to bring Robson to Thailand."
