Tevez reveling in Man City limelight - Yorke

Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke believes Carlos Tevez is relishing his current position at Manchester City.

The Argentine has a phenomenal scoring record at Eastlands since crossing from Old Trafford in the summer of 2009, netting 49 goals in 71 appearances for the Blues, and Yorke puts it down to the fact he is now the main man.

"Tevez has done brilliantly, and I think it's down to the fact that at United his chances were limited, whereas at City he's the main striker," said Yorke.

"At United, Tevez never got a run of games, because of the quality of other strikers there - Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov.

"Tevez was in the shadow of Ronaldo, who was probably the best player in the world at that time, while Rooney and Berbatov were also ahead of him in the pecking order. But he's gone to City as the main man and is relishing that status in the way he's playing.

"At United, he never seemed to have that run of games you need as a striker to get scoring regularly and get your confidence up. But at City he rarely misses games and, when he does, he comes straight back into the team and takes up where he left off - scoring goals.
