Two former West Ham United old-boys convinced Mauro Zarate about moving to the Boleyn Ground.
Zarate has agreed a three-year deal with West Ham as he leaves Argentina's Velez Sarsfield.
He revealed he spoke to compatriots and former Hammers Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano about making the switch.
"Yes a little bit. Now we will talk [with West Ham's owners] and maybe I will sign," he told Sky Sports News.
