Carlos Tevez's career at Manchester City remains in limbo.
The Mirror says City had hoped to conclude the investigation into Tevez's alleged refusal to play against Bayern Munich in a Champions League tie by Friday.
But club officials are now unlikely to reach a decision on Tevez until early next week, meaning the striker - who is currently back home in Argentina - will be made to sweat on his future.
Tevez, suspended on full pay for a maximum of two weeks by City following his alleged Munich mutiny, is due back in Manchester on October 13, when his suspension comes to an end.
But the striker could well be an ex-City player by then, with the club examining all options open to them - including termination of Tevez's contract if gross misconduct is proved.
