Inter Milan are planning to use Diego Milito as a makeweight in their push for Manchester City captain Carlos Tevez.
Milan-based Mediaset says Tevez has struck an agreement with City and manager Roberto Mancini that he will be allowed to join Inter in the summer - so long as the Italians match their asking price.
Inter's last offer for Tevez was for €30 million - but that falls well short of City's valuation.
Instead, Inter are ready to include players in their bid - including Diego Milito.
City have asked about Douglas Maicon, but the Brazil fullback is not interested in moving to Eastlands.
