Tevez on form as Man City ease to win over Wigan

Carlos Tevez made light of the wet conditions at the DW Stadium to score one and make another as Manchester City defeated Wigan 2-0. The game was played on a rain soaked pitch which did not do any favours to either side, but City adapted the better and were deserved winners.

Wigan created few chances but went close in the last 10 minutes when Mohamed Diame headed wide.

The Argentine striker scored the opener just before the break, heading over keeper Ali Al Habsi after a long kick by Joe Hart.

Tevez then wrapped the game up, taking advantage of some poor defending in the second half, to send over a cross for Yaya Toure to dispatch.
