Tevez dismisses slow Juventus preseason

Carlos Tevez insists there's no need for panic at Juventus over a slow preseason.

Carlos Tevez insists there's no need for panic at Juventus over a slow preseason.

The Bianconeri have stuttered in pre-season so far, losing to Everton on penalties and falling 3-1 against LA Galaxy last night.

“I’m training very intensely, and it’s normal to be a bit tired. I haven’t worked this hard since I was at Boca Juniors,” the former Manchester City striker told the official Juventus website.

“The objective is to be ready for the Super Cup on August 18, and games such as our clash against Galaxy are useful to help you prepare in the best possible way.

“Conte also places great importance on tactics and is very well-prepared. I’m looking to pay careful attention to the systems used and apply what Conte asks of me on the field of play.”
