Tevez assures Man City chiefs he wants to stay

Carlos Tevez has assured Manchester City he is committed to the cause.

The Sun says Tevez returned to training at Manchester City yesterday and told the club he is committed to their title push.

Tevez and his advisors dismissed reports he lacks motivation ahead of the new season and wants out.

The striker, 26, has struggled to get over Argentina's World Cup exit.

But insiders insist he is now over the quarter-final defeat to Germany.

And there has been no contact between Real Madrid and City over a possible switch to Spain.

A source close to Tevez said: "A good rest has renewed his appetite and he is committed to City."
