Testy Chelsea boss Benitez: Laudrup has it easy at Swansea

Chelsea boss Rafa Benitez says Michael Laudrup has had it easy at Swansea City.

The two men go head to head tonight at the Liberty Stadium as Chelsea try to overturn a two-goal deficit to reach the Capital One Cup final.

Benitez said: "Football is quite complicated. You have to manage a lot of things. But when you're managing in the middle of the table it's easy to bring in young players or play a certain style.

"The style of football the Swansea team had under Brendan Rodgers and Roberto Martinez was good for him because it's the way he likes to play as well.

"They all had an idea and he has the same idea. That means you don't have to change many things. He's doing very well.

"When you're at the top or the bottom it's harder to impose your ideas.

"We have to perform in every game because we're a top side."
