Chelsea captain John Terry says the emergence of Josh McEachran and Gael Kakuta has helped fans forget Joe Cole.

Critics questioned Chelsea's strength in depth this season after the club parted with Cole, Michael Ballack and Deco.

But Terry claims Blues fans have nothing to worry about.

He said: "We did lose some really experienced players, Joe Cole especially, but we weren't the only side cutting back last year.

"But now we are seeing some young players coming through and making a difference."
