Chelsea captain John Terry is determined to lead England against Russia next week in Moscow.
Terry is intent on captaining the team against Russia in Moscow despite a knee injury which may need surgery, says The Sun.
The Blues skipper has been told he needs up to two weeks to recover either by complete rest or a minor operation.
But if Terry insists on turning out for England in Moscow it will mean he is unavailable for Chelsea for a longer period.
Terry, who also has a fractured cheekbone and a broken toe, is intensely patriotic and has made clear his desire to play for his country even if it means suffering pain.
Blues boss Avram Grant is fully aware of the situation but has opted not to intervene.
