Chelsea skipper John Terry believes the return of Guus Hiddink would be the ideal managerial appointment. Hiddink is set to quit his role in charge of Turkey to return to Stamford Bridge following the dismissal of Carlo Ancelotti.
England and Chelsea skipper Terry said: "I would like to see him back. He's obviously a very good guy and I've been in contact with him since he left.
"He'd come in and hit the ground running. He knows what the players are about, what our strengths and weaknesses are.
"He brought a lot of stability and was a no-nonsense manager even with the senior players.
"Players would turn up late for meetings and would then get left out of the side, having been in the side previously.
"He was very understandable and approachable as well but, at the same time, no-one messed with him.
"I know he's been linked and we worked very well under him and obviously we won the FA Cup."
