Chelsea captain John Terry isn't surprised by the mega spending of their nearest rivals.

Terry says the way Chelsea dominated last season left other clubs with no alternative.

With the gap being what it was last season and us playing so well, we have maybe forced people's hands a bit in that they are having to go and buy big," Terry said.

“So three or four of the top clubs around us have brought players in to improve on last year and so have we."
