Marc-Andre ter Stegen is delighted with his move to Barcelona.
The former Borussia Monchengladbach goalkeeper signs for Barca in a Bosman deal.
"I believe that my skills fit in well with Barça's. I believe there is no other side who play like this and I very much like playing football in this way. I think we go together perfectly, and I want to demonstrate that in the future," Ter Stegen told Barça TV.
"I believe I am a proactive goalkeeper and also one who takes risks. I think nowadays it has become more acceptable to take risks and that's my style. Obviously there is always room for improvement and there are always areas where you can make progress. And this is the best place to do that.
"I want to help the team to continue growing. I want to show them what I can do and give my teammates the feeling that they've got someone who can do a good job covering their backs. I'm OK with that; I think it is the perfect job for me.
"I know what I've let myself in for. I know all about that and by now I already know that people demand the best here and only winning counts. I'll do everything I can to help Barça triumph."
