Spanish tennis ace Rafael Nadal has become a shareholder of Real Mallorca.
Nadal is to be represented on the board of directors by Fernando Martos, who will be marketing director for the club.
"We are very willing to work hard to ensure that Mallorca is a great representative of our society and has a guaranteed future," new president Josep Pons said.
Pons has stressed that Nadal's involvement with his hometown club underpins the seriousness of the new project.
"This guarantees our seriousness and is an indication that this new project has the interest of important people," he added.
