Ten man FC Dallas do enough to defeat Houston Dynamo

FC Dallas have lasted with ten men for more than twenty minutes to narrowly defeat Houston Dynamo 1-0 at Robertson Stadium.

Following Jair Benitez's ejection in the 72nd minute for violent conduct stemming from an elbow on Houston's Luis Landin, Dallas were able to grab the ascendency through Ugo Ihemelu seven minutes later.

The Nigerian-born defender scored with a header following a Dax McCarty free-kick which was knocked across goal from the far post by Brek Shea.

The win was Dallas' first of the season but kept them on the bottom of the Western Conference table following the win to Chivas USA earlier.
