Telstra increases FFA involvement

Football Federation Australia (FFA) has announced Telstra as its official telecommunications partner, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The new deal sees the Australian company form an association with several elite soccer properties in its domestic market, including the Socceroos, Westfield Matildas, Foxtel A-League All Stars, Hyundai A-League, Westfield W-League and the Westfield FFA Cup.

Financial terms were not released at an announcement confirming the deal on Monday.

"It gives me great pleasure to announce that Australia's leading telecommunications and technology company, Telstra, has become a major partner of FFA," said FFA chief executive David Gallop.

"Football in Australia is currently experiencing a strong growth period based on the performance of our national teams and the success of our various competitions. We're delighted Telstra has chosen to increase their involvement in football in Australia."
