Fiorentina signing Cristian Tello has urged Barcelona defender Marc Bartra to join him in Florence.

The winger has joined the Viola on loan from Barcelona.

Tello said, "I often speak with him, he's a friend of mine but he hasn't spoken about the idea of Fiorentina.

“He complimented me for arriving at Fiorentina, I think he's a top player who would be helpful to Fiorentina.

“I think Barta is someone who needs to play and feel important to the team. I think it's a step he should take for his career."
