Cristian Tello is close to penning a new contract with Barcelona.

Sport says only minor details need to be ironed out with an agreement over a deal to 2016 now agreed. An official announcement could be made before Christmas.

Tello's current deal expires in June and without the new contract he would be free to negotiate Bosman terms with foreign clubs from January 1.
